When you finally decide that you are going to start a new fitness program, the first step is usually finding the right program to meet your individual needs. There are so many options out there it can be overwhelming, but if you take a moment to examine your needs and your goals you will be able to find the right program for you.
First you must take into consideration your goals. Do you just want to lose the few extra pounds that you gained over the holidays, or has your doctor told you that you need to lose 50 pounds or more? Do you feel comfortable putting on exercise clothes and working out in a gym, or would you rather exercise in the privacy of your home? How much money are you willing to spend on a fitness program? How much time do you have to devote to this program? If you want to attend a program at a gym or some facility outside of your home, then what is available in your area? Keep in mind that once you find a program to start with, you do not need to stick with that program to the bitter end. If you dont like it you can always try something new. The goal is to choose a program that you can afford, that you enjoy, and that will help you to meet your goals.
