Sometimes when you work out with a friend it can make the time just fly by. But you might be in a situation where none of your friends are interested in working out with you or they have a different schedule. You’ll need to get out and make some new friends who also enjoy being physically fit.
You can start with the personal section in your local newspaper’s classified section, ask around at your church, or you can put up a flyer at your gym or you can use one of the many places online where you can do a local search to find a workout buddy. Many of these sites in addition to letting you search by location will let you search by age, gender and activity.
Always exercise common sense when meeting someone in person for the first time that you have met online. Don’t meet them at your home, don’t go alone to meet them for the first time, and plan your first outing in a public place during daylight hours.
When you have found a good workout buddy you can plan outings together and help keep each other motivated to exercise and to reach your fitness goals.
