If you find that you are starting to make excuses for why you can’t make it to the gym it might be because you are getting bored with your exercise routine.
If you are a member of a gym you might take a look at what classes they offer and sign up for a class that sounds like fun. If you have been walking on the treadmill you might try running, or even try one of the other pieces of equipment available there. If you work out in your home gym, you might want to look into purchasing a new piece of equipment, get out of the house and walk in your neighborhood, or buy a new exercise video or DVD.
Regardless of how you change your routine, it’s important that you remember that mixing up your exercise routine can help to keep you motivated to continue while also keeping you from getting bored doing the same exercises over and over.
